STEP 1: PRIME YOUR PITS WITH A DETOX SCRUB! Detoxing your pits with an Activated Charcoal & Tea Tree Sugar Scrub can help rebalance your skin's microbiome and can make natural deodorants more effective by removing built-up chemicals from previous products. Aluminum-based deodorants actually PLUG your pores to stop your body from releasing sweat... (which is actually BAD FOR YOU - look it up)... this will help unplug them! You'll need to use this for the first few days as you transition to my stick, then 1-2x per week to maintain healthy pit pores as you go. It's simple... in the shower wet your pits and scoop a nickel-quarter size scoop into your hand and rub on your pits in a circular motion until you feel the sugar dissolve. Let the milky emulsion stay on your pits for a bit (30 seconds to a minute or two) while you shave your legs or wash the rest of your body like normal. Then rinse, that's it!

STEP 2: PAMPER YOUR PITS WITH A NATURAL DEODORANT! I formulated my stick to glide on smoothly from the convenience of a twist tube. It's a round tube, not oval... but is still the same 2.69 oz volume you are used to with standard deodorant tubes. SOME EXTRA DETAILS:

Everyone's body chemistry is different. The initial transition takes about a week as your body adjusts and your pit pH balances (although some of my testers noticed ZERO transition time & reported working on the first application). Most users experienced a decrease in BO within the first week AND ALSO noticed a reduction in sweat over time (even though this isn't an antiperspirant)! When you allow your body to sweat, (instead of clogging your pores with aluminum to prevent it), your body actually begins to self-regulate sweat volume and it may reduce and level off over time naturally!

Personal Statement... I'm ALWAYS hunting for a better deodorant. Women's deodorants don't work for me, not even the clinical ones, and men's really only work for barely a day. It's something I've always been SUPER conscientious about - so I've tried THEM ALL. This was the driving mission behind my research... and test batch after test batch after test batch - knowing what I know about herbs and minerals, I KNEW I could make it work. I'm super proud of this formula, and proudly use it every day... as do my friends, my husband (yes - Eric uses it and LOVES it)! Even my deodorant-snob sister likes it!! 

STINK DISCLAIMER: Deodorants are like jeans. There's not a one-size-fits-all formula. Genetics play a role, your diet plays a role... I can't control that. However, because pH balance, microbiome, and bacteria load CAN be addressed - that's what I focused my formula on. {FUN FACT} WHAT IS MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE? Basically, it's a naturally occurring salt! Magnesium hydroxide helps with body odor because it acts as a natural antibacterial agent, and also raises the pH level on the skin which creates an environment less favorable for odor-causing bacteria to thrive. This helps neutralize odors without blocking sweat glands like most commercial deodorants do. In a nutshell, it fights odor by altering the skin's pH balance to inhibit bacterial growth. I'd say next to the herbs infused into the oil - this is one of the hero ingredients!

*If you are an EXCESSIVE sweater... this is NOT an antiperspirant. I had ONE female "excessive sweater tester" report a yellowing of her underclothing. Upon further research, this could be a reaction of how her excessive sweat load reacted to the pH balancing process. This was not typical among myself or others in my test groups, but I wanted to mention it. Take note if you are an excessive sweater.

HANDCRAFTED IN SMALL BATCHES:

My salves, infused oils, lotions, creams and scrubs are handcrafted in small batches using special (and proprietary) infusion processes that took me 6 years to develop!
