MY NAME IS COLETTE... WELCOME TO MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE INTERNET!
Rewinding all the way back to 2010... As a creative outlet when my kids were little, I started sharing cute printable projects on my blog. Pinterest was brand new at the time and I was first on the scene with a lineup of creative candy tags, whimsical planning pages, cute calendars, church handouts, quotes, and candy bar wrappers. My printables rose in popularity quickly and that led me to opening an Etsy Shop in 2012 to sell them. By 2014, I became a "Top Ten" Shop in my Category and have since sold over 100,000 printables in 70 countries... collecting thousands of 5-Star reviews along the way! Over the years, I simply outgrew the Etsy Platform and in 2017 established a presence with my own URL right here! It was a huge undertaking to transition nearly 1,000 printables to a new host, but was definitely worth it! I still operate my original Etsy Shop today, but in general, I direct most of my customers and enjoy serving them here.
Fast forward to 2020 when the world was on fire... I started sharing my love of herbs and natural remedies on social media - and the response was overwhelming! It didn't take too much convincing from my loyal customer base to begin making and selling my original salves. I was not, however, interested in running a second website - so since 2022... both "Bloom to Balm" and "My Computer is My Canvas" have been parked here on the same website to keep things simple.
Eric, my husband of nearly 30 years... is a two-time cancer survivor and my biggest fan! He was able to retire early in 2016 to focus on his health (thus driving my intense interest in herbs) - and he now works full-time with me running both businesses. I get to do all the fun stuff... creating, marketing, customer service, production, (I formulate and hand make every product myself)! He gets the boring duties, (spreadsheets, finance, and taxes), but is also the first one in our office everyday prepping our "Bloom to Balm" orders! I don't know what I'd do without him! We are new empty nesters, living our best life on a big ranch in SE Idaho (North of Bear Lake)... and we have 4 adult kids that are all out in the world pursuing their dreams! Life hasn't always been easy, but it's absolutely been glittered with good!
