Cold sores are THE WORST!! From that first defeating tingle until the day it finally disappears, it's a painful, burning fight! Cold sores are caused by a virus, so it can't be cured... BUT with the right combination of herbs and essential oils - I've created a salve & lip balm DUO that will FIGHT viral replication (which can reduce the duration) and will also soothe and calm that awful burning/stinging pain while it does! You can't do much about cold sores, but with the right blend of herbs - we can at least reduce it and calm it so it isn't so painful and disruptive. I also formulated this DUO to keep your lips well-hydrated and protected to prevent painful cracking!

INSTRUCTIONS: Apply the salve to the affected area of your lips 4-5 times daily. Then, use the protectant lip balm in-between salve applications to keep lips moisturized and primed for healing once the virus subsides!

A NOTE ABOUT MY BALMS & SALVES:

My salves are released in small homemade batches after a special (and proprietary) infusion process that took me 6 years to develop! My goal is to move as much of the natural medicinal goodness as I can from the herbs into the oil... and the result is a whole line of salves that have been uniquely currated to be surprisingly effective! In our home, we grab a salve before we EVER pop a pill!

ANTI-VIRAL HERBS: Lemon Balm, St. John's Wort, and Holy Basil are all well documented herbs with known anti-viral properties! Combining them in specific ratios in this formula creates a potent, anti-viral salve aimed to help reduce the duration and soothe the symptoms of the common cold sore virus!

ABOUT CALENDULA FLOWERS: Calendula flowers have antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that make it useful in healing wounds, soothing skin conditions, and relieving rashes. It's also used as an antiseptic, can help calm redness, reduces inflammation and can ease skin discomfort. It's skin-loving properties make it an excellent addition to any healing salve or balm, especially this one!

ESSENTIAL OILS: This blend of Lavender, Tea Tree, and Pepperment Essential Oil together packs a pain-relieving, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory punch making them the perfect addition to this cold sore fighting duo!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE? The shelf life of the oil in the salve is 1-2 years. However, to enjoy its medicinal benefits the most, I recommend using within a year.
HOW MUCH SALVE SHOULD I USE? In general, consider using a "small glop" the size of a pump or two of lotion and apply over the affected area 2-3x daily as needed (use less if it's a tiny area, of course)! In general, a minor topical skin issue will use much less salve than a joint or muscle issue where you are massaging the salve in. See my website or check your product label for specific application recommendations.
ARE SALVES SAFE FOR BABIES & SENSITIVE SKIN? I haven't conducted FDA approved clinical trials, so I can't label my salves as "for sensitive skin" or "baby safe." But, I can tell you MANY of my close friends and family use my salves on themselves and their families OFTEN & REGULARLY with great success and confidence. Just like with ANY new skin care product, there is always a potential for allergies or irritation... so test a small area first before using regularly or on a larger area. If you have KNOWN allergies, take note of the ingredient list provided on each label. And, of course, discontinue use if any kind of reaction or irritation occurs. My base oil is derived from almonds. Salves with menthol crystals, camphor, peppermint and eucalyptus are NOT intended for young children and babies.
A NOTE ABOUT CONSISTENCY: Depending on the temperatures where you live, your salve will arrive with a general consistency between a neosporin-type oinment and a slightly firm vaseline. Softness of the salve will vary based on your particular climate and seasonal temperature. Since the salve contains beeswax, avoid leaving in a hot car or in the sun to prevent melting. Your tin will be shrink wrapped to prevent any dripping if it does happen to soften during transit. If melting does occur, simply put it in the refrigerator to return it to its normal consistency.

Best stuff ever!!

This has been a favorite! It works better than any over the counter medicine I've used in the past. It relieved the stinging pain and brings relief and moisture to your cold sore. It has reduced my cold sore time in half instead of weeks it's only a few days! It's the best.

Lip Saving!!

I had one of the world's worst cold sores! Not only two on my lip, but a cluster just below my lip line that grew to a size larger than a nickel!! Oh, how they HURT! I couldn't smile and everything just hurt. I recalled this salve (since I love several others) and sent away that same day. It arrived on a Friday afternoon (I would have asked to have it sent overnight were that an option!) and I applied right away. I reapplies regularly and slathered it on before bed. WhenI awoke on Saturday morning the pain was gone and the sores were less than half the size they were when I went to bed the night before. I am writing this on Monday and although I am continuing to apply there is almost nothing left of the sores. The last time I had this type of coldsore I had a scar that lasted for more than 8 weeks. This time it is almost gone already. I willl keep this on-hand at all times moving forward and have already recommeded it to friends who are ordering. I may need to order some to give as gifts!! Thank you for creating a miracle product!!

SURPRISED ME!!

Collette is AMAZING!!! I saw her cold sore salve release and ordered it immediately! Two days after it came, I felt that cold sore feeling in my bottom lip and knew one was coming. I alternated the salve and the lipbalm like she says, both were immediately soothing! What surprised me was that weird cold sore feeling disappeared after the first 24 hours, it's now day 4 and NO COLD SORE. It never came through the skin. I've had dozens of them over the last several years and I use Abreva fast and early - but it always still breaks out. This will be a game changer for me!
